A 2000 pound bull bison sprinted towards an elderly man in Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park. The bison hits the grandfather heck on and ends up knocking him into the air.

This hectic event happened after the grandfather and his grandson were taking a photo of the bison until it quickly chases them. The bison hits the man before he does a flip in the air. The 65 year old Carl Isom-McDaniel has many injuries and was sent to the hospital immediately after the incident.

Bison experts in the park mention that during the summer is when the bison’s behavior is the most aggressive, especially because it is mating season. This event serves as a warning for others about safety in national parks as the scientific lead at a Bison Conservation says, “It’s always good to keep in mind that 25 yards is a minimum for safety.”
