China has sent a spaceship named “Tianwen-2” towards a rock circling around Earth. This rock is a 40-100 meter almost moon like object. The rocket ship has flown for close to a year now and when it arrives to the rock, it will hover close to the rock. There it will use a robotic arm to feel the surface of the rocket and get samples of it. The sample collection is planned for July 4 2026. Scientists are unsure of what this rocket actually is. Some believe that it is a piece of the moon that broke off while others believe that it could be a piece of a distant asteroid. Either way, the spaceship will solve this mystery by bringing an actual piece of it back to earth.
